Our Team

Our team of registered massage therapists provide manual therapy based on current research and evidence in health care.  We take time to understand your individual health care needs and work with you to create a treatment plan that is based on your personal goals.

Our  therapists are professionally trained in a variety of treatment techniques and while the specific techniques used will depend on your needs as well as the therapist’s skill set, ultimately, our approach to treatment is to identify and reduce or eliminate the cause of your symptoms.  We often recommend supportive exercises that are intended to help reduce your pain, improve your function and address any factors that may contribute to your symptoms.

Prior to becoming a massage therapist, Cary earned a diploma in Marketing from BCIT. A successful management career in luxury hotels working in Kelowna, Vancouver, England, and California followed. While his work was rewarding, Cary wanted to have a greater impact on people’s lives and his penchant for science and working with his hands made massage therapy a natural choice!

Cary is a graduate of the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy and is registered with the College of Massage Therapists of BC. He discovered Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) during his studies and immediately recognized its ability to treat a wide variety of conditions traditional massage could not. After graduating, Cary attended post-graduate training and he is now a Dr. Vodder Certified MLD/CDT Therapist. Some conditions MLD is used to treat include: edema (post-surgical swelling, Lymphedema), traumatic injuries (hematomas, contusions, whiplash) and skin conditions (eczema, acne). Cary also uses traditional massage techniques and develops treatment plans to address the needs of each individual. He also feels patient education is key to maintaining long-term health and well-being.

Cary grew up in West Kelowna where he enjoyed the Okanagan lifestyle and a variety of sports year-round. When not working he enjoys fly-fishing, cycling, reading and cheering on his children at the soccer pitch.

Rachel graduated with academic honours from Okanagan Valley College of Massage Therapy in Vernon, BC. She truly values the improvements to functional abilities massage can offer and looks forward to using her education to help her patients. Her passion to become a RMT began after she experienced enhanced well being from massage following a sport injury.

Rachel’s practice revolves around rehabilitation and restoring soft tissue health that may be strained or restricted from activity, injury, surgery, pathology, postural imbalances, or overuse. By utilizing assessment and listening to her patients, Rachel aims to provide an effective massage to restore functional performance and healthy joint mobility. She also enjoys educating her patients with tips on how to prolong the benefits of massage.

When Rachel is not in the clinic she enjoys keeping active by spending her time in the mountains hiking or skiing. She loves weight training and balances out her days with a little yoga or painting as well. As Rachel’s fascination with the human body grows she continues to expand her knowledge on human anatomy and the mechanics of movement.
