B.C. Registered Massage Therapists are trained to evaluate a patient’s individual needs and provide manual therapy for complete patient care. RMT’s also honour a strict code of ethics as set out by the College of Massage Therapists of British Columbia, which ensures that each patient receives safe, competent and ethical care.

You may be entitled to claim a portion of the fees charged by a Registered Massage Therapist through an extended healthcare plan. Individual plans vary so please check with your service provider for specific coverage details, limitations and whether a physician’s referral is required to claim reimbursement.
EXTENDED HEALTH CARE PLANS
Please advise us at the time of booking if you have extended benefits
Many extended health care plans provide coverage for massage therapy and will now pay massage therapists directly on behalf of their insured customers. Contact your provider directly to determine your annual and/or visit allowance.
In order for your therapist to bill your extended health care plan directly for the cost of your treatment, please provide us with your policy number and member ID at the time of booking and bring your wallet card and doctor’s referral to your initial appointment.
Our therapists are currently able to bill the following plans directly:

- Chamber of Commerce
- Desjardins Insurance
- Industrial Alliance
- Johnson Inc.
- Manulife Financial
- Pacific Blue Cross
- RWAM Insurance Administrators
- Standard Life
- Sun Life Financial
Individuals who qualify for subsidy under the Medical Services Plan of British Columbia may be entitled to assistance with the payment of fees for massage therapy. If you are unsure whether this applies to you, please let us know - a member of our team would be pleased to assist you.
MSP will pay a maximum of $23 per treatment, regardless of the duration of the appointment. This amount will be deducted from the clinic rates outlined above.
ICBC will pay a pre-determined rate, regardless of the duration of the appointment. If the actual treatment costs exceed the amount payable by ICBC, you will be responsible for paying the difference and will not be able to recover the user fees from ICBC, however, a receipt for any additional amounts paid will be provided to you at the time of treatment and you may submit these to your private health insurer for consideration.

RCMP & VETERANS AFFAIRS CANADA
Eligible Members have coverage for supplementary health services at no cost. Limitations are outlined in the RCMP Benefits Grid. Please bring your Blue Cross Health Identification Card to your first appointment.
Veterans Affairs Canada provides coverage for registered massage therapy. Massage therapy must be prescribed by your physician in order to be approved.
